Forums - Sales - PS4 Sold Over 2.5 Million Units in Japan in Exactly Two Years; PS3 Breaks 10.4 Millions

It´s starting to look a little better. I hope there´s a PS4 slim in a year or so. I doubt it will have the same effect PS3 slim had, but it should help.

I am with ihh it looks a little better for the future of PS4 but at the same time it doesn't really impress and it sometimes I am kind of sad looking to ps4 pre order games. We just had the SFV sales and pre orders were not warm for it and other japanese games like SOV are also not having impressive pre order numbers. For Japan we are still waiting for a game that boost the PS4 sales a bit like Monster Hunter did for PSP.

It's ahead of the ps3 launch aligned aswell so it's definitely doing good.

PS3 will cross 10.5m by the looks of it. Funny how it's still getting big releases in Japan and it will be 10 years old in November this year.

great news lets keep the momentum going

but keep in mind that launch aligned PS3 is entering it's 3rd holiday boost, so it could overtake PS4 again

if PS4 keeps it's current pace it should quickly pull ahead again though

Yeah that's another thing in the PS4's favour.  1 holiday less and it will still be near if not ahead in a few months.
