I know both are in different genres but since both are multiplatform im interested in seeing which game comes on top. You should rate each game in each categories.

1> Sales

2> Graphics/framerate/resolution

3> Features

4> Pushing the envelope

5> Gain new fans




1> GTA IV=10 points, RE5=5 points

2> RE5=9 points, GTA IV=7.5 points

3> GTA IV=10 points, RE5=9.5 points

Overall = GTA IV comes out on top

3> Features - GTA4 (lots of sidequests and has a healthy 16-man online but still a lot unknown about RE5 but for now, GTA4 is on top)

4> Pushing the envelope - RE5 (Yea, I also dont know what u mean about this, but if u mean which is a bigger sequel, probably RE5)

5> Gain new fans - GTAIV (people r talking about it at my school, but RE5 is still too far away so time will tell)

End of 2009 Predictions (made Jan 1, 2009): My predictions were pretty accurate, the 360 was over and the Wii was just under.

Wii: 65 mil (yea I'm crazy) 360: 35 mil (its getting there) PS3: 30 mil (the slim better do well)

End of 2010 Predictions (made Jan 7, 2010):

Wii: 81 mil  360: 47 mil PS3: 45 mil

pushing the envelope means what makes it different to the previous games?

eg: in dragon ball z if you look at the saiyan transformations

1, 2, 3

if you're on super saiyan 1, and for you to go to super saiyan 2 you have to have something really powerful ki level, really fast speed. you reach the next level.

Easily GTA IV. Comparing these two games though makes no sense. They're different genres and cater to different gamers.

There styles are also completely different. RE being slow and methodical and GTA being fast paced action.
