It would be an absolute no-brainer for Sony/MS/Hideo to make a spiritual successor to Silent Hills. The saving grace here is that unlike Metal Gear Solid, Hideo can simple call it something else and pretty much make the game.
Just do the same, don't call it Silent Hill and that's it. He isn't goint to infringe any copyright, and the game could be pretty much the same.
Sweet! Sweet! Sweet! Sweet! Norman actually ran into my wife to give my daughter a gift. And it was going on right behind me, and I didn't even know it.
Let dreams become reality! ;O
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
Who knows maybe Kojima didn't necessarily want to make Silent Hill sequel but just his own take on a psychological horror game, and Konami thought it would make more commercial sense to turn it into Silent Hill?
I mean I bet most were surprised to find out that PT was supposed to be a teaser for a new Silent Hill.
