I mean, this is supposed to be the home console part, isn't it? If so, I think it's too small (actually looks way smaller than Wii U).

It would be smaller. Considering all the mobile tech, they could make it as small as they want.

But what mobile tech has to do with a home console? I mean, at least the home console part. I'm sure the handheld part will be very small like that, but not the HC.

That is, assuming it has 2 parts.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I suppose the tech would be similar, and Nintendo would love to recycle the pieces on both devices to save costs.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Well they could use again the "Size does matter" slogan from the GameCube :v

Inb4 too small imho. how is it supposed to cool down beeing so little ? is there even space for fan+2USB ports+whatever other cable needed ?

It's possible that the home console uses mobile parts similar to the way Apple TV/Amazon Fire TV use the same parts as their smartphone counterparts.

Interesting, but wouldn't it be underpowered in this case? If it was easy to build a decently strong console like that, I don't think MS would have opted for a big one like XB1, for example.

well, the ps4 has a mobile cpu (or a cpu based on a mobile cpu)

Interesting. And it still looks big... so it's really hard to believe Nintendo could pull a moderately powerful HC of that tiny size.

Not really. I'm sure the NX is not looking to outperform the PS4-XBone by a lot, and there is a lot of powerful mobile tech to reach console-quality standards.
