it's not ancient history, well maybe the beheading part is but not the killing part.  I was really shocked i just talked with my friend and she was on the next station the time that the stabbings happened.  I didn't see it mentioned here but this man stabbed his father also.

When i was in Japan there was a 20 year old guy that stabbed and killed both his parents right on the street only a 2 minute walk from my apartment.  After he killed his both his parents he went back to his apartment got some juice and a chair and sat and watched his parents dead bodies until the police came and took him away.   Seriously some twisted shit.  

 Well, there's a HUGE difference between "killing" and "beheading".

Because the news chose to put the blame on videogames, we all have to enter the thread with a severe lack of taste?

I feel bad about this story, Japan is one of the only places in the world where premature death is rare (except by suicide, which is actually at a shockingly high rate). Hopefully, the trend doesn't continue. We don't want things to end up like America, where 1 out of every 98 people are in jail (no, I'm not lying!).

I heard he was a big fan of sushi as well. Darn sushi!

How many more mass stabbings have to occur before someone will licence everyone to own a knife, and we ban knives that are too sharp?

... Anyways, if you assume that only 0.01% of people are highly likely to do something like this then there are tens of thousands of people who are at risk in (pretty much) every country. I'm personally not surprised that this happens, I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often.

 When they absolutely have to arm themselves with knifes to fight off British occupiers? Wait... wrong history. :P

What does him being an Xbox fan have anything to do with this tragedy? Is this some kind of fan boy attitude that says "LOL XBOX FANS AM CRAZY!!???" ignoring the fact that at least 1 person is dead, and more might succumb to their wounds? Was the Xbox a factor in the crime? Aside from trying to make a stupid fanboy statement, what point does it serve to bring up his hobby?

With attitudes like this, Jack Thompson might as well retire. We attack each other just find apparently.
