My only problem is everyone who hated on the Wii in this thread is just a Nintendo hater, EXCEPT Riot, who lately has been on a tirade of trollish Wii-bashes, when he knows good and goddamn well the PS3 has less worthy games to play than the Wii, and the 360 is the worst machine to hit the gaming market in ages(RRoD I mean).

Stop judging your system on what you assume the future of it will be. Intelligent Systems would be ashamed of you, sir.

As for the rest of you, "Ha ha ha, hahaha, In yo face, hahaha."

So Mr. Big-Nintendo-Fan, where's your Brawl code? ^_~

lol, I have hughesnet, satellite internet, I would really lag up a lot of people if I played, so for others sake, I stay off. :P

I'll play you even with the lag. You talk a lot of big Nintendo fighting words so back them up in Brawl where real men settle wars.

If the 360 lacks diversity in it's lineup then the PS3 really lacks diversity in it's lineup. There's no need to even argue this. Almost every title that could diversify Sony's lineup is on the 360 also plus the 360 has numerous other titles to round things out. Just because a lot of first person shooters grace the console does not change that they are a cherry on top for shooter fans and it's not overwhelming to find the other gems in the lineup.

There are actually more sports titles on Sony's console per year, so you're wrong that it's more prominent on 360. Microsoft doesn't develop yearly baseball and basketball sims.

Racing is prominent on 360 but I'm not sure why that's a bad thing just because Microsoft already got Forza Motorsport 2 out.

No prominent JRPGs on 360? You sure you're looking at the right console here? Games like Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey and Eternal Sonata don't ring a bell? Maybe I should just buy a PS3 and it's huge prominent JRPG lineup. There's ummm....and well....awww jeez I can't seem to find any JRPGs at the store.

If you're seriously asking why it doesn't have a single platformer, maybe you should understand that platformers are not made as often anymore. Thisisn't the SNES/Genesis era. For arguments sake, Kameo, Crash of the Titans and Sonic the Hedgehog are all on 360, so there's three platformers for you.

As far as offstyle racers, that's just an excuse to throw Motorstorm in people's faces. Fine, you win. Sony owns the offstyle racer genre. Happy?

I said that the most prominent titles on the360 are shooters, sports games, and racing/driving sims. Just look at its most popular and best-selling titles. Honestly, why do you think it can only sell well in one region? It's because its library appeals almost exclusively to core and hardcore american gamers.

It has JRPG's, but as far as I'm concerned, they're nothing to write home about. Neither are those platformers you listed(especially Sonic. yuck., and the Crash games have sucked ever since Naughty Dog stopped making them) .Platformers aren't made as often anymore? Kirby Kanvas Curse, Kirby Squeak Squad, NSMB, Yoshi's Island DS, Ratchet & Clank: FTD, Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, SMG, Super Paper Mario, LBP, Sonic Rivals.

I'm not just comparing the 360(or the Wii) to the PS3(which by now has atleast one decent platformer and one decent exclusive adventure games despite a year less on the market). I'm comparing them to the other platforms as well, which would include the DS and PSP(which have all those genres a lot better covered).

Personally, I'm a lot more worried about what would happen to the industry if the Wii wasn't successful. Microsoft and Sony have been following a fairly standard strategy of releasing (basically) the exact same product with "bonus" features, better technical specifications, and at a higher price ... The next step in this process is a $1000 console that you buy to play the exact same first person shooters, racing games, and sports simulations at a higher resolution with improved graphics.

Whether or not Sony and Microsoft would admit it to the outside world, the success of the Wii and Nintendo DS will have a dramatic impact on their strategy for the next generation; they may or may not adopt motion controls like the Wii did but they certainly will be thinking of more interesting user input devices; they will probably think of what is the processing power that is needed rather than attempting to push the limits without reason; and they will think of what the typical consumer is willing to pay rather than what the high end consumer can afford when pricing their console.

This is a big statement with a lot of truth in it. I very much doubt the PS3 would be down to even $399 now had it not been for Nintendo's fiece competition at the $250 level.

 I agree as well.

The market might also be in a lot of trouble if not for the Wii due to rather slow hardware sales.

Wii is my favorite system so I'm glad for its success.. but its bad for the entire industry when a console fails there is really no reason to wish for failure... even though I don't really like PlayStations, I don't want Sony to stop making consoles.

I don't get the point.

What do you want so say? :S

i wish it was winning, but not blowing either out of the water. that way ninty shows that casuals matter, make lots of money, but dont threaten the power of hardcore. it would make every area of the market happier if wii was just strong instead of incredibly strong.

my pillars of gaming: kh, naughty dog, insomniac, ssb, gow, ff

That expresses my opinion a bit better than my own words. I have no problem with the Wii doing well, even winning. I just wish it wasn't dominating and constantly selling out the way it is.

I would be miserable if Nintendo quit the industry, they're the best game developer by far and make videogames what they are.

I don't think i need to respond to all your anti-Sony/MS crap.

Of course not, that would require you to actually provide any evidence or a solid argument to back up any of your claims. It's much easier just for you to label everything you're not confident adressing as not worth your time rather than actually trying to counter it or support your argument.

In fact, all you've provided thus far is an unsuported opinion without any adequate arguments, external sources or examples to substantiate its suggested validity. I wonder if you even really bothered to read all I had written.

I wish Nintendo would have made another great console like the GameCube and just had it flop instead of making the Wii. Now they've become piece of shit Sony use to be. Seeing Nintendo do well in the console market is not worth having them reduced to... this.

Your posts are becoming more retarded by the hour. At least Griffen has an excuse, he's a super-fanboy, you should know better.

How am i a fanboy, i like all the systems but the wii, i am a big fan of some Nintendo games too.  I even own a DS.
