Forums - Gaming - The Orange Box (PS3) Framerate issues are lies, the cake as well

Half-Life 2 has framerate issues even on fast gamer PC's, at least unpatched versions do, much because of optimizing and also AI range in some cases.
The Half-Life 2 version in Orange Box should be better optimized and have fixed the minor AI range issue (similar to Oblivion, AI has short range and takes a huge chunk of temporary memory when it activates, causing the buffer to momentarily fill).

CAKE FTW.

Glados: For example if you fall in this water, you will have a negative score on your test result followed by death.

@Kber
You will enjoy it, half-life feels epic, and you never get bored, maybe annoyed by strong ennemies like those f**king hunters. But be warned load times are pretty long, and the graphics of half-life 2, its still very good. Although you might wanna play half-life 1 first. Plus There is PORTAL!

I played through the game as well, but it's important to remember that there are only framerate issues at certain sections or when certain things happen. Simply because you didn't have any issues on your play through doesn't mean that noone has ever had issues. Perhaps you didn't have the exact angle on the exact event they did that started the issues, or perhaps the problem is with the disc, or can be exacerbated by the environment the PS3 is in while playing the game. In essence I'm saying, probably mainly to Leo, that simply because you and I did not see issues doesn't mean that they don't exist.

The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence, to quote Boondocks.
Actually, "Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence" is a Donald Rumsfeld quote. It's the best he could come up with when people started to ask him why he never found WMD in Iraq. Comedy gold, no doubt, but not the quote I'd want to use to make a non-satirical point.
Rumsfeld is NOT the originator of that quotation, which, though stupid in that usage, is a good one.  A brief Internet search shows that Carl Sagan is credited with coining it.

My advice to fanboys: Brag about stuff that's true, not about stuff that's false. Predict stuff that's likely, not stuff that's unlikely. You will be happier, and we will be happier.

I have the most epic death scene ever in VGChartz Mafia.  Thanks WordsofWisdom!
