And their's no way to make the Wii play games in HD. It isn't a small boost in ram/ect like the Sega Cd or 32X, it's an entirely different architecture. Why isn't a bluray player just an add on to a dvd player? Because it doesn't work like that. Different media drives, and different video outputs.

thats exactly what i was thinking when i was reading this post too.. how is it going to make wii games play in HD? whatever way makes that possible would certainly not be worth it.

and then you have to consider that you'd be doing something that fucking michael pachter has been suggesting for years. BAD IDEA. the wii u should have been its own console, just with a different name, console design, and marketing campaign. those differences would have at least tripled the sales of this console easily.

Would definitely have helped. A strong first party lineup during the launch window would have helped too....

Kind of like what I want with NX.

I think the gamepad would have worked as an add-on.  I hope it will work with Nintendo's next home console along with all the other legacy controllers.
