This is a very interesting article and I think the main point can be summed up using the quote below

Mobile has been a game changer in the last few years and on a global basis generates more revenue than the PC and Traditional Console market. This fast increase in Mobile gaming revenue is primarily due to smartphone attach rates increasing in emerging markets such as Asia.
Digi-Capitals outlook on VR is certainly interesting. I'm not sure if I can agree with their bold forecast for VR revenue accounting for 8.6% of the market in 2020 as this would require VR to take off across Mobile, Console and PC where as at the moment I see the majority of growth in VR coming from low cost Mobile solutions. Therefore I'm not sure if there will be a huge software market for VR in the next 5 years due to lack of core gaming adopters.
