Don't buy the MS Wireless one. It works ok but there are better options for the money.

Either of the TurtleBeach headsets work great. I've never had any complaints with people hearing me. They have a wired version for ~$50 and wireless for ~$99

If you're using the free one that comes with the console I don't know what to tell you. I've had that problem but restarting fixed it for me. If it still isnt' working then you may need another headset =/
