Forums - Gaming - Good/Great games in bad franchises?

Well, I got nothing... I don't think any of the series I like are considered bad, and any series I don't like, I just don't play at all... o:

call of duty: black ops series (a lot of content with tons of diversity)
paper mario TTYD (the rest of the series went bad)
kid icarus uprising (not so much because the series is bad, but because I wasn't a huge fan of rail shooters)

The original Paper Mario is good. I can grant that Super's divisive as hell and I despise Sticker Star.

Original was great, TTYD was fantastic, then the series declined greatly

Assassin's Creed II, I tried the others but I can't get into them.

First Five Nights at Freddy's.

The series in general is just disappointing. Besides a good story, it failed to live its hype(especially with its cancer fanbase).

The first game will probably be the only one I'll like. Deserves a 7.5/10, nothing more, nothing less.

You'll hear no arguments from me.

Have you played Colors? It plays very similarly to Generations, just without the classic Sonic sections. Generations is still my favorite though. The Sonic Rush games for DS are also pretty similar, just boost Sonic in 2D.

I've yet to play Colors, but I've hear dreally good things about it, I should check it out one day.

I also did play Rush, and yeah, Rush was a solid game, I just forgot about cause I usually think about the console Sonic games before the portable ones.

Sonic Colors is my 2nd favorite sonic game (being behind the amazing Adventure 2 Battle) I definitely recommend that game and I'm not a huge Sonic fan, although I have played pretty much every game.

It's not a bad franchise by any means, but of Chaos;Head, Steins;Gate, and Robotics;Notes, the gap in quality between Steins;Gate and the other is pretty huge. The same holds true for their anime adaptions. It feels less like the 'Science Adventure Series' and more like the 'Steins;Gate and some other stuff' series.

Both Steins;Gate and Chaos;Head have recently released sequels though, so perhaps the above has changed.
