I think they will get third party support if its a x86 based system and is similar or better in power to the PS4 since it would be easy to port it wouldn't make sense not to as Nintendo will know how import third parties are these days they just gotta look at Sony make hardware people want and third parties print you money.

I think its reasonable for them to get the Japanese devs on there system as some of niche games given the chance to sell another 50k can be massive, I think for the western companies its just a matter of how easy it is to port to it for the big multiplat and yearly franchises as even selling 300k-500k on Fifa, Madden COD etc would be profitable enough for them as long as its easy to port to.

Square Enix (Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Bravely Default), Capcom (Monster Hunter) and Level-5 (Yo-kai Watch) are probably the three most important for Nintendo right now to (bare minimum) maintain what they have. I'm not even going to entertain western 3rd party support at launch because they're not going to be there (but they're still vital in the long-term).

Probably EA, Ubisoft, and Activision... : X

Personally, I would like Square and Bamco to bring some of their RPGs over to it. I would love that, thanks... (Quit yankin' my chain Bamco! Just.. please..!!! >_

I guess the big Japanese companies will be on board. I think it is hard to see western ones developing for NX.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

I think NX will be a unified platform featuring a family of devices that share a software library. That would mean Nintendo would no longer be splitting their own resources between two separate devices causing droughts on each platform. Nintendo will be able to diversify more and be less dependant on 3rd parties with this setup.

In terms of 3rd party support, I believe it will be similar to what 3DS+Wii U have. Strong indie support, strong kid/family friendly support, strong Japanese support.

I also believe at launch we will see decent support from mainstream western titles similar to what Wii U experienced. EA, Ubisoft, Activision, Warner will each have 1-2 games mainstream games at launch and future support will be determined by how well they sell.

I'm sure they will be there at launch, even if it's just late/rushed ports. EA, Ubisoft, Activision, Warner Bros will each have 1-2 mainstream games at launch and future support determined by their sales. These major companies will want to be there at launch just in case the console becomes a huge success.

I honestly think that given the okayish sales of the PS4 and the fact that the Japanese market is basically in Nintendo's back pocket, it would be in the best interest of all the major Japanese publishers to back Nintendo with NX.

Western wise it could prove to be more of a challenge. I can't see much outside of exclusive deals and whatnot.

There has been a lack of 3 party support since the N64 Nintendo is the most stubborn company , so expect the lack of 3 party support to continue with the NX.
