Forums - Gaming - What's so great about Undertale? *Big Spoilers*

Unique battle system.

Interesting story and backstory.

Colorful cast of characters.

Outstanding music.

Alternate endings, each amazing in their own way.

Secrets crammed in almost every nook and cranny.

I love this game so much, it's probably the second best indie game I've ever played, only behind Cave Story for me. With that said, it's not gonna be everyone's game, especially considering how quirkky the game is overall.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Around the Network

It seems the people that don't really care for the game are the ones who, for one reason or another, couldn't get attached to the characters or stories. That's what drives the entire game, the relationship between you and the characters in the game. What people also really love about this game is how literally everything in the game ties itself together and the constant motifs it throws at you. I highly recommend you do a pacifist run of this game because the pacifist ending really does clear up a lot of loose ends in the story and it gives you that truly happy ending we are looking for. I'm glad you don't hate the game though, because it kinda urks me when people hate a game solely on things like the fan base of the game, and then they end up never playing the game anyway and continue making assumptions about the game. You have a genuine opinion about the game that you don't care for it, and I can 100% respect that.
