I like DLC, Remakes, Remasters, and don't mind broken games much. Normally, they aren't as broken as the Internet claims and often the glitches are quite entertaining 
Plus, if you don't want to support what you consider to be bad in the industry, don't. Plenty of good as well

On the topic of Destiny...what would you consider making friends "the right way?"

Sega: rerelease rerelease rerelease. pfffff. remaster remakes/ same ol shit . and people buy it. man i have to be honest i bought last gen the prince of persia trilogy hd. but only for collecting sake. and i still hate myself cause i have thos games on ps2 as well. and when u look at the games they dont really differ that much in common: it feels really bad u know when u buy a game full price and it turns out to be the greatest garbage of all time and u decide to sell it and no one wants it and u know u cant blame them cause its garbage TONY HAWKS 5 backwards compatibility xbox one: its not even funny u gotta beg for the games to come on bc. im still waiting for skate 3/ and if it was really bc then why do i have to wait for the freaking games? why not just like the wiiu? put cd in and play the game. i have to literally push my bandith cap to download those games in bc. its a false advertising. ps4 is even more funny. they give ps2 emulating and lol u even have to pay for it. what a shame really. game companys: ea ubisoft activision are becoming a mob companys. and the only annoying thing is that while i boycot their dlc focused games. well there are million others buying it/ i am a loser in this. verdict; while i enjoy games on bone and ps4. the one that gets dissed most the wiiu is probably the best. but im not an easy man. nintendo nx is going to be dlc shit all over again. cause u know why? cause we all wanted this punk ass bone and BS4. cause yeah we all like to bash that console that wanted to make games for u not only bout the dlc. but we didnt want it cause we are following the masses like hordes. so we buy the bone and bs4. and now nin has the dlc strategy.
thank you very much. what a great day of gaming nowadays. 33 years and i am getting older. i hope someday sega comes with a console in my huge pipedream that maybe it will be pure again. a full game no dlc and enjoy the game and have fun. but here i am complaining on a forum. sigh |

Games like this flooded the market and killed the industry years ago.
Now you have the internet:
It ruins everything: jurnalism, jobs, music, movies etc.
The internet makes people lazy, with the mentality "will just fix it later". Nothing is a final product anymore it's always moving and updating.
So that's why you have DLC and games that don't work, well just fix it later.
So Sega coming back won't fix that, it's the internets fault now.
For every game that launches incomplete and every company with shady bussiness models, there's a game with a wonderful value proposition from companies that are very consumer friendly. The industry is enourmus, and usually the big failures resonate way more than the small successes. In my opinion, the only thing that keeps getting worse is the subscription systems to play online. Microsoft got away with it with the 360, and now nobody complains with the PS4. We'll start watching other companies like EA or Activision to charge for their online services, they see no real push against these fees.

A lack of vision and ambition in the industry has also played a part.
I honestly tried but the whining got to me before I could finish the post.
Honestly, I can think of no time that gamers have had it better than right now. You know everything about the game before you buy it, they have budgets and man hours on average that dwarf even the big titles of yesteryear, endless different schools of talent and art are brought together to produce complete experiences that really cannot be matched by any other medium with stunning visuals, beautiful musical compositions, complex control schemes, real effort often put into the narrative, quality voice acting... All this, and yet the prices are still somehow comparable to those of 20-30 years ago despite all the inflation that has taken place.
This gen certainly has its problems and frustrations as all the others did, but some perspective is really required here. I suppose the younger players who didn't experience the progression of the industry might not have the requisite memories to understand just how far we've come, but in that instance I'd encourage you to really step back and look at the bigger picture.
Really, it seems like people won't be happy until they're given four years worth of development content at release all for the price of what games cost twenty years ago, but they can't lay off the extra workers in between major projects (superfluous employees are generally those assigned the DLC that many love to hate), they must produce a cinematic experience on the scale of a Hollywood movie, include perfect controls, have near photo-realistic visuals, include a Hollywood-esque sweepingly epic musical score, be sure it is set in a compelling narrative, release these ever-increasingly complex games free of bugs but on time all the same, and prove affordable enough that they can buy 10-20 of these a year. Once done, continue to support the game via additional content but don't dare ask for any financial compensation, and lord knows the online service had better be free as well. We deserve free things, after all.
Forgive me for my generalizing but I'm just sick of the bitching... Some people just don't know how good we've got it, despite the frustrating stuff. That someone could actually say "this is a real tragedy" just blows my mind.
Evolve had some day one cosmetic skins. I think some of them should have been unlockable in the game instead of the 2 sets we got to unlock, but Idk why you'd include it with those other games. And it does have story, you just have to play a lot and listen for it. Game is playable offline, too.
