JJ, JotaJota or just Lipe.

But when I have to name villains in games I generally put something nasty. In Pokémon games my rival is always named Putinha (Little Bitch). :P It's funny to read: "Little Bitch wants to battle with you!". "Little Bitch ran away".

Lawlz, now I wish we could still name our rivals, although they're not really even rivals anymore. =/

Yeah, they are more like... friends that are jealous of you. :P

Still, I wish we could name them regardless... this time I'd put "vadia invejosa" (jealous bitch).

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I name most of my Diablo characters as a variation of my username so TruckOHunter, WitchOSaurus, etc...
In RPGs where characters have preassigned names, I always keep those names (except for Chrono Trigger where I give everyone their real name Marle -> Nadia, Frog -> Glenn, etc...)

Signature goes here!

Teeqoz for male. Shocking, I know

But it sorta fits. It's not the most insane of names, it is pronouncable (even though the name is never pronounced in-game). Of course, if it's a setting where Teeqoz in no way works, I'll come up with csomething else.

In Skyrim I named my male character Aslan after the lion in Narnia. Why you ask? Well, Aslan is a complete badass, and it's a great fantasy-name, so yeah.

For females, again it depends on the setting. If it's a modern or sci-fi setting, I'll pick a more traditional name, but still sort of exotic. I like Amelia, and Katherine is pretty nice too (Katherine is from Vampire Diaries (Katerina doesn't fit with the normally anglicized world in videogames).... yeah... I feel no shame.)

Male is usually Kei. It sounds like "K" which is the first letter of my name. I used it once as a role playing screen name a lot time ago but it turns out that it's a very ambiguous name that can belong to a guy or a girl and many people would make the assumption that I was a girl and send me a "private message". Heh.

Sometimes I might go with Griffin if the character seems extraordinary. This comes from FF6, where I named Edgar 'Griffin' because his brother was 'Sabin', which made me think of the 'Griffin and Sabine' novel.

FF6 was really the formation of most of my naming protocols.

With female characters, I often go with Alia. This is from the Dune novels, where I absolutely fell in love with the character. One of the most interesting and misunderstood literary figures I've ever come across. Alia is usually reserved for characters that start out as special, however, such as someone who has suffered a lot or has an enigmatic past. I sometimes use Katie if they're supposed to start out as really ordinary. I often use Kana because I've long been a fan of the wrestler Kana (who is now Asuka in the WWE) and I like the name in general. I occasionally use Chani, also from Dune. I often use Winter if they're badass from the start.

Sometimes I use Ruin for the same "if they're badass" reason. This applies to both male and female.

Last name is usually Matera.

Like my dogs, Spike or Kenji

When the character already has a name I leave it though

I hope so. Since my good buddy ethomaz got wrongly banned for being the fun loving guy that he is, I will have to try out for The Most Vile Villain of VGChartz for this year. Looks like I'm off to a good start. I'm being watched for my use of the feline language already. 😒

Off to a good start indeed. ;_; I'll be sure to vote for you in this year's first ever...

Male: Alexander, my real name and my favourite FF esper/g.f/eidolon.
Female: Ifalna or Callisto. The first one is Aeris mom, the second one is the name of a Greek nymph.

"Mulligan" and "Other". I'll let you guess which I give to male and female characters.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Usually Krogoth (most powerful Total Annihilation unit), Piecemaker, Efreet Sultan (Homm3's fav monster), or YABW (Yet Another Bruce Willis).
When going Dark (in rare cases, mostly cos of trophies) then Dollar, CIA's Future, or True Sam.
Female: Mary Rose or Emma (names of fav actresses)
