Forums - Gaming - Should there be an EA/Ubisoft/Activision Tax on the industry?

I am propsing a 45% tax on all DLC to persaude companies to include the content in the original game. We as gamers never win anymore. Companies are laughing at us. No one, not even the companies understand how they are getting away with this! That 45% tax money can be used for research and development for new IPs (ones without DLC).

I am the person that this industry needs!

With such a tax those companies would make even more money by increasing the price on DLC and blaming it on the tax. As if the average gamer could calculate what 45% of something is.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Sure, let's just punish patches that fix bugs and dlc that increases enjoyability for others.

If you don't like it, ignore it. Don't ruin it for others

How about games just cost $100 at launch instead?

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

Either this or the complete opposite.

Anyway, joke thread.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Not a bad idea actually. At least 80$.

Nayeth!

Yeah, look, it's not very amusing or interesting. Lame joke threads are just spam.

I was about to say this because this is the second "joke" thread and act we're seeing now and it's going to end up as spam.

We get it about the whole Trump thing but we really shouldn't be injecting that into a video games website despite there being a politics board.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
