kind of not thread worthy, the NX has been announced and the third parties haven't been crazy about the Wii U for this whole time. 3DS has been around for 5 years itself so

Well, both systems are reaching the end of their lifecycles, and western developers really didn't have that much interest on those devices to begin with. Also, surprising to see mobile interest deminishing, maybe the market is reaching critical saturation.

Exactly, alot of damage control. This has nothing to with NX, do you know why? Because developers dont know anymore than we do about it. Why would they be excited for it? Western developers aren't the biggest Nintendo supporters either.

Developers should have an idea of what the NX will be.

Its not like they will get to know the console when Nintendo decides to reveal it, that would be a catastrophe for the launch line-up.

Nintendo isn't the real story here. VR went from 7% to 16%. Most other platforms barely moved and VR moved by nine points.

I know, some developers already have the devkits, so... probably some of those are already making ports/games/whatever for it. As for smaller/irrelevant devs, they will probably receive (or buy) a kit close to release, or even after.
