Man I haven't touched one since September. It was a 9 hour drunken brawl of Risk right when I moved to Oakland. We moved the big screen in, brought out the Risk, and fought until dawn, took photos of the board in case of "foul play" and continued in the morning. We even woke my neighbor up at one point. G-d damn I love that game. It's been too long!

I also love Monopoly, Boggle, Scrabble, Sorry, Backgammon, Chess, Stratego, and motherfucking CANDYLAND.

Remember I said how "really intricate" Advanced Third Reich is? Well, A3R only covers the European side. They made a "sister" game called Empire of the Rising Sun, and A World at War basically mashes both of them together. Talk about epic!

I play a lot of board games. Monopoly is my fave. I can boast having never lost a game of Monopoly with over 200 games played. I am probably the best Monopoly player in the world.

Has anyone ever played Atmosfear (either the VHS or DVD versions)?

Monopoly, of course, is like a best friend that you grew up with: you don't hang out anymore, but every now and again he pops into town and you pull an all niter.

Chess will always be there...but unfortunately it's not a casual game. Hardcore polayers need only apply, and they're pretty scarce in my life these days. College days? That was a whole 'nother story. Good times. Getting high, smoking cigs, and playing chess until the wee hours of the morning while everyone else was getting shit faced. Oh, the memories.

I just looked up that game Atmosfear and it totally reminded me of another game, Shrieks and Creaks. It involved a cassette tape and key cards that you put into a "tombstone" and it would decide whether to make a noise (meaning that something bad happened to you).
