After Bayonetta 2 being exclusive and becoming tied to Nintendo, the franchise can't go anywhere without feeling incomplete. Nintendo will fund it, it's a safe 90+ metacritic game that only needs funding to exist, and even if it is not a monster seller, it will put their system all over the media, good advertising for the system and good PR for Nintendo.

I feel like any positive they could gain from funding Bayonetta 3 could also be gained just by remastering an old Nintendo IP or something similar. Basically I think it's a waste of time and Nintendo should focus on their own IP's or creating new ones.

Unless Nintendo gets something else that's rated M. That is Bayo's leg up over any port/remaster job. Nintendo should try, for the sake of just that.

I don't feel like being rate M matters at all. I've never chosen a game based on its' ratings ever. I've never once even looked at what my games are rated or thought to look at that. The amount of gamers who make a choice based on game rating has to be so small that any money invested in it would be a complete waste.

I'd say it's pretty likely. Others here insist because Bayo2 didn't sell well, that Nintendo won't touch it. Far from that - Nintendo has produced sequels to games that achieved far, far less in sales. As Bayonetta topped the smash ballot, there's a clear audience that will buy Bayo 3 on NX. Not to mention, the games are highly acclaimed - even higher than many of Nintendo's own IPs. Nintendo will circle round back to it another day, but only once the Nintendo and PG/Bayonetta cult following continues to grows and hits a new critical mass.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

They definetly should!!!

Very unlikely IMO unless NX sell very well since the beginning. I will say there is 75% of not happening

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too. I believe it's more likely to happen than not.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

As a Bayonetta fan, I don't really think a third one is needed. I'm happy with just these two.

I think it would be best if Nintendo funded another Vanquish.

I say about 50-50 chance? I wonder if Ninten or PG would want to work together again after sales weren't that great, as well if PG just goes to another publisher to make a 3...

A new Vanquish would be awesome, but that doesn't need to mean the end of Bayonetta, they could do both on different time-frames. Well, they should at least make that spin off game.

Don't forget the must buy Bayonetta Amiibo.
