its of a console sold, but all 50m can trade! Tis easy... but there is a ton more to factor in here, mostly being the runaway success of the originals is not going to happen in 2016 for the old games, just not happening.

so actually finding people with the game is the problem.

Fuck knows, I'd say it would be, unless you and a friend knew ye were going to be buying it to play through I really doubt many will buy these originals other than for some nostalgia, unless they include the Pokemon stadium ability of the Duduo or Dudrio GBC for lightning speed grinding.

But that is what the OP was suggesting when he created the thread, not that the actual act of trading pokemon would be harder, your report for the name being clickbait rubbish is still fine!

lol. i never report anybody no matter what. its always been a personal rule of mine. i have not once ever reported anybody for anything.

It's not a bad thing to report people for being daft on here tho, helps direct the mods to stupid threads to stop things before they get out of hand.

Thankfully on VGchartz snitches do not get stitches or I would look like sackboy.

ive been victimized by that report button too many times for me to use it as a weapon against others. i take a decisive stand against it.

Instead of there being potentially 150million consoles capable of playing the game there is closer to 60million meaning that with the OP's logic that you would be 3 times less likely to encounter someone with a 3ds and pokemon than you would have a gameboy/gameboy color with a copy of the original games.

For this to stand even remotely true tho 1 in 3 people with the original would have had to own a link cable, and from my own memories of the time it was far less than that, considering that every model of the 3ds (and 2ds) is capable of wirelessly trading Pokemon I think the number of trade target potential is the same if not higher this time around....

All that said I don't think these games will be anywhere near the run away success of the original gameboys games nor will people care enough to get back into the trading and battling scene of the original games now when you have omega ruby and Saphire on the market and of course X and Y.

i still don't understand wtf link cables have to do with any of this shit.

wait, is the OP just saying that it will be harder to find people to trade with, not necessarily the process of trading? if so, reported for misleading thread title

I'm sorry, it wasn't in my intention to create a click bait title, I changed it hoping that people get what I mean before opening the thread

I don't mind not having online. I actually preferred it when Pokemon was like that lol.
