The bonus dungeon is called Thorough Battle: Trial of the Beast.
Finishing the dungeon gives you a wallet of 9,999 rupees.
The Ganondorf amiibo makes you take 2x damage (so with Hero Mode that's 4x)

Kinda bummed about needing an Amiibo to unlock the definite hero mode. A Link Between Worlds already had 4x damage in its original hero mode :-/

Ok, perhaps Amiibo locked content is getting a wee bit out of control.
I own all of the compatible Amiibos, and will get Wolf Link, so I'll have access to everything. Sucks if you're a amiiboless peasant. *smug face*

I wouldn't mind if all the amiibo dlc for this game was kept the same but Wolf Link has all of them since it comes bundled. But by making each Amiibo have one tiny feature basically makes it an expensive dlc list. Fortunately Ganondorf is the only real useful feature but I don't think its a feature worth $12.99 if I'm not an avid Amiibo collector/fan.

I'm fine with purely cosmetic content being exclusive to Amiibos but there should be an option to buy additional levels and gameplay-changing content from the eShop if you don't have the figurine(s).

On the bright side the value of Amiibos increase for every game that supports them.

The Ganondorf Amiibo functionality is freaking hilarious actually. It's really cool that they did that IMO.

Malo is awesome lol.

I agree. The fact that he's a baby but carries himself so much more maturely cracks me up. Half the time when talking to him I expect him to just pull out a cigar like Baby Herman.

So I need to waste another $13 to have the adjusted difficulty in an easy game. Wow...

Nah, the Hero Mode will be available without the amiibo, the amazon.fr description (which was the source for the first leak) didn't said anything about it being locked behind an amiibo, and said that you could switch the hero mode back to normal whenever you want. Also, the Hero Mode is included with every Zelda Game since Skyward Sword, so don't be afraid about that.
