I can see them doing a Majora's Mask kind of game, so yeah.
I would be happy with a new Zelda every year, so anything is fine for me.

What are you talking about, we talking about nintendo here, it will be the end of world if Nintendo does not make Zelda exclusive for their new platform.

Not saying it will release on other companies sistems, just mentioning it could be a cross gen between 2 Nintendo systems, much like how TP was.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Fans would not like having only two Zelda games per decade, even if they try to fill the space with spinoffs and remakes.

Nintendo has been doing that since Zelda started. There's always usually two games. And a ton of spin offs.

No, it's usually 4 per decade. Even with the two recent exceptions, it's still 3 in a decade.

As much as I appreciate all the hard work they pump into the Zelda games a 5 year cycle is just too long. They really need to figure out a way to pump them out around every 3.

That's plenty of time to still have a very high quality game and then it almost ensures that a game will be available near launch if not at launch.

I wouldn't call the last 2 exceptions when these days most games are taking more time/resources to develop. It's a worldwide trend, unfortunately. But yeah, I can see a new on being made under 4 years if it's well planned and doesn't get a delay.

SS only took 5 years because motion + was added late  and they had to remake a lot of stuff. it would have taken three years instead. Zelda U is the biggest Zelda ever and also first HD one. Seems like a no brainer that the next one won't take as long, since nintendo isn't a newcomer to HD development anymore.

It really concerns me that Nintendo's console releases appear to be out of sync with their major franchises. It seems exceptionally unlikely that there's a mario kart, smash bros, zelda, star fox, or even Splatoon that'll be released for the next console within the next couple years. We haven't heard anything aboyt a 3d mario or Pikmin or something, and for their sake I hope they have the former, coming for the nX.

I really think they ought to port a lot of wii u games to the NX to bolster that library, especially as many of those games were played by exceedingly few people. Smash Bros, for instance, could really afford to skip a gen, port this one with minor improvements, and give Sakurai a break. The problem I foresee is that many of these games, such as the upcoming zelda and star fox ones, use the gamepad quite extensively.

Either way, this is why I'm against an early release for the NX... I just can't see how they'd have a quality launch lineup ready in time, and they'll likely botch it as they did with the wii u.

I think you meant it's exceptionally LIKELY that those franchises will see a new game in the next two years. You're also incredibly wrong if you think nintendo will/should port games already availabble on the system (assuming NX is a home console).

I will be really p!ssed if the NX got an exclusive Zelda game and the Wii U doesn't.
