I like to give my money to sony when it does interest me... they seem to deliver it back to me investing in great games.

Yeeeees :D

And here I am, giving Nintendo my life savings by buying a bunch of amiibo. xD

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I second this.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I instantly voted yes, but when I read your text I started to doubt this whole thread ^^
Oh well. Nintendo

I will only buy games that I think I'll enjoy. I wasn't happy at all with Animal Crossing:Amiibo Festival so I refuse to buy any of those amiibos.  I'm tempted due to loving the previous games but the game itself looks like a boring version of Fortune Street. I won't support them if I'm not interested in their products. They do make a lot of games and accessories that I want to buy though.

There was a time when I felt that way. But now when I give them money it feels like I'm enabling all of their recent bad decisions and supporting a library filled with half-effort cash grabs. If feel like they need a healthy change, so it feels wrong to communicate to them that no, it's okay, just toss out a few more placeholder titles.

I'm waiting for Zelda U, Zelda HD and a price cut (or maybe I will just buy one used, and then resell it after I'm done with Zeldas and a few other titles).

Why would you buy something, especially the games, and then just throw them into the closet with no intention of playing them?

I mean, I would think the reason you're a Nintendo fanatic and love 'giving them money' and supporting them, would be because you love their games, right?

Also, I'm sure you realize this, but just blindly buying all of a companies products out of sheer desire to support them is not a very smart consumer decision, even as a fan of said company.

While Triforce Heroes by all accounts is a stelllar and fun game that offers a lot of content, something as uninspired and bare bones as Ultra Smash does not necessarily deserve your support.
If you are a nintendo fan, you should support games you genuinely like, and want to see more of, in their library, to show them demand for those games is there. If you buy lazy and rushed games like Ultra Smash on the other hand you show them that they can get away with that and still make money, they likely are going to try it again.

If you value Nintendo's current quality standarts and games, don't support their screw-ups, because overall quality is going to drop. And then they're not going to be the company that you knew and love anymore.

I'm a nintendo fan, because I like their awesome producs, I have a lot of nostalgia and positivity towards them.
But you also have to realize that they're a company. They care about making money, so they don't perish, they don't care about you personally.

Of cou're you are perfectly free to blow your money on whatever you like, but If you're going spend it on products you don't care for, make it amiibos. There's a lot of them.

lol, i'll play them eventually. but i wont lie, there are plenty of games that i bought that i really dont have any intention of playing. maybe once or twice. like that animal crossing amiibo bundle for example. i just wanted to give nintendo money for it. yes, i know it sucks, but i still like doing it. nintendo already knows that game is fucking awful, and my support isnt going to change their knowledge of that. if anything it shows that hey, ill still be there even when you fuck up.

That is...  an interesting take on life.

hey everybody

let's just cut to the chase. i love giving my money to nintendo. every day or so i find myself trying to make excuses to go to best buy, target, gamestop, etc. so i can go buy something nintendo related and up their sales. i love buying their amiibos and i love buying all their games.  yesterday, i went to best buy and bought a blue yoshi amiibo, zelda: triforce heroes, and ducktales: remastered. a couple days before that, i bought a falco amiibo and mario tennis: ultra smash. those are all the nintendo products i bought this week, and honestly i havent even used any of them or took them out of the shrink wrap. i just threw them in my closet when i got home and went about my day.

it just feels good knowing that my money is going to a good cause, ya know? when i buy a nintendo product, i know that it is making a positive impact on the gaming industry by supporting a company that is going to take care of it and not just exploit it. in fact, i am so dedicated to giving nintendo money, that i make sure other people do it too. when i worked at gamestop (october 2007-june 2009) i used to get the customers to give nintendo their money. i made sure to sell all the PS3 and 360 games used, and the only games i would sell new were the Nintendo games. it was easy.

Nintendo customer brings to the counter a used copy of Super Mario Galaxy: "I'm pretty sure we have a new copy of this in stock right now. it's only five dollars more, plus you get the comfort in knowing that it's new and has never been played before."

HD customer brings up a new copy of Resident Evil 5: "would you maybe want a used copy of this? it's basically the same thing as a new copy. it's only five dollars cheaper. plus, if you don't like the game, you have seven days to return it!"

i just wanted to share that with you guys. do you like giving your money to nintendo? its a very satisfying feeling for me.

this is hilarious. if you enjoy it, then i guess, uhh, good for you, dude. i do the same thing with certain brands of frozen vegetables.
