I would say that Playstation dominates Sweden as well, I know more people that have PS4's but some of my other friends have Xbox One's. I own both but I would consider myself an Xbox player.

Reading the link, this is a case of identy theft not directly related to Playstation Network because the card info in question had never been added to his PS4...

Det är likadant i Sverige, totaldominans av PS4. Marknaden är i stort sett identisk i Sverige och Norge tror jag. Jag vet en som har Xbox men det är endast för Halo 5, haha.

I'm curious why you think that would drop ps4 sales? Is there more to the story? Is this a PSN breach, hack, flaw? It's hard to understand from thread title. I'm curious how people happening to get scammed on PSN becomes PSN's fault? Since its in Swedish can you elaborate more? |
Not really, police suspects the ones behind the fraud aren't swedish... I guess I could translate the whole article for you and post it here, or you can use any auto translator you like. Well since it's bad news in the biggest newspaper in sweden about the console I thought it might get some international attention and scare people off because it makes the system appear as unstable/unsafe. If anything people might leave PSN and they'll lose some money there? I dunno, wanted to hear other peoples opinions about the subject.

Apparently police in sweden have received "hundreds" of reports of people being scammed through PSN. The victims have all been charged a sum of 629 SEK, some of them multiple times. One guy has been charged almost 6000 SEK (APX 700 USD) and the police has a theory that the scammers use the money to get some points in FIFA 16 which can be exchanged to real money. |
Thanks. Though that doesn't sound good, I doubt it's going to affect sales significantly.
