God no. Aonuma will feel my wrath if the reason he wasted time was for online multiplayer in Zelda HD.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

It could work. I could see a mode where you have to race through certain part of the Hyrule field with Epona with other players. And since Link's bow is really important in this game, there could be an online player versus player mode that plays like a third person shooter.

I think it will, too. Like obviously. They've been pretty heavy about it. ALBW, WWHD, and now TFH all have something, and I think Zelda U will have a significant focus on multiplayer.

I think it will be very much like Dark Souls, though. WWHD's bottles are like Dark Souls messages, though I think that it will be far more integrated than with Wind Waker since the game will be built from the ground up with it in mind. I also think there will be co-op multiplayer/competitive multiplayer too, but it will, again, be very much how they were handled in ALBW and TFH.

"Not playing alone" has been confirmed literally years before Zelda U was even properly revealed, and it was clarified later to be specifically alluding to multiplayer, so there's not really any debate on that. Aonuma confirmed it explicitly. It's literally the first think we learned about it, before we even knew what it looked like. Dungeons in any order and multiplayer.

Not every game needs online and this is one of them.

I think people are seriously overanylizing how important the bow will be in this game. I don't think it will be any more important than it usually is. I just think it'll be an item you have from the beginning, unlike with other Zeldas. But I don't think it has any special story relevance or anything.

I think the idea will be to recreate the feeling of community brought about by the first Zelda. Like the playground discussions of like what to do when you're stuck and how to beat what boss and such. If anyone has played Deus Ex Wii U, it'll probably be more like that than what Dark Souls does. I think that will allow the game to be much more obtuse about secrets and bring back a feeling in Zelda that literally hasn't existed since the first one.

But again, this is literally exactly what Souls games do already. Still, I think that will be the main form of online, with the other things being more to the side, but I definitely think it'll be a major aspect of the game.

I would love if Zelda U copied TFH and had a bunch of multiplayer-only mini-dungeons as well, but you know, we'll see how they handle that. A coliseum mode again't other Link's would be great, too.

Literally, just copy Bloodborne honestly. I'll stop beating around the bush.

Umm no it won't lol

This prediction came to me when I first heard that the reason why Nintendo is releasing so many Zelda games is because they want to test out some features for the best game Zelda game ever. I believe these rumors to be true. They released Wind Waker HD to try out High Definition graphics. Release Majora's Mask 3D for the side quests. Ocarina of time 3D was just a remake entirely and has no connection to Zelda U whatsoever. Trifoce Heroes to try out online multiplayer and see what reception it gets. and POSSIBLY the 2 version of Hyrule Warrios to try out the NX hybrid handheld and console versions. It's a very risky prediction but it's a prediction I am willing to make. Producer Eiji Aonuma also stated Zelda U will "have a suprise twist" to the game. what twist can that be? There's really no twist when it comes to traditional story games. Unless he was talking about the PLOT, controls or gameplay. They already did a TERRIBLE twist with Skyward Sword with horrible motion controls.

Stop reading here. Whining casuals ruins the best battle system in LoZ universe.

Yes, because cutting grass by yourself is too mainstream

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Imho the only kind of Multiplayer I can think of is if they add some sort of EXTREMELY strong boss battle that to be defeated you either have to grind all of your weapons almost to the maximum or team up with 1/2 friends, tough it must be after the end of the story because I don't know how they could explain it otherwise (unless some sort of time-crush event where every player is a different age of Link but everyone sees themselves as the Link from the main story, or again an enemie that can use magic manages to split link in the 3/4 Links...)

Oh, another thing I was thinking of recently is that to solve the problem of the "empty overworld" they could make so that in every place that isn't a dungeon/village/place related to story a certain number of your friends can appear and act along the lines of merchants that'll give you different weapons, clothing etc...
