Forums - Gaming - List of 8th gen, million selling Level-5 IPs

Idea borrowed from zorg1000's Nintendo thread (http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=212300). This is a list of all games of Level-5 IPs to break a million so far during 8th gen. I may end up coming back to this periodically to update as more games come out/break a million. For games that have a old gen version (PS3,360,Wii,DS,PSP), I only use sales for the New gen version(s) (PS4,X1,WiiU,3DS,Vita). Platforms are listed in sales order.

Yokai Watch 2 Ganso/Honki (3DS) 3.16m
Yokai Watch 2 Shinuchi (3DS) 2.67m
Yokai Watch Busters (3DS) 2.08m
Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask (3DS) 1.72m
Yokai Watch (3DS) 1.44m
Fantasy Life (3DS) 1.07m

Yokai Watch 3 will assuredly pass a million.

Total: 12.14m

Thoughts?

My thoughts? Clearly Yokai Watch is their golden cow. Hopefully they know how to milk it properly and don't end up draining it.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Well considering the lukewarm reaction N. America gave it, there's a good chance it won't matter outside Japan.

Nice to see Fantasy Life in the 1M mark... really disappointed that the series went mobile D:

Looks like Yokai Watch has been a huge success for Level 5.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Unfortunately, that's where the money is, I guess.

I like how all of them are on the 3DS! Can't wait on how they wilk support the NX!

Pocky Lover Boy!

Can these please be condensed into a single OP? We don't need several like threads populating the Hot Topics at once. Maybe a "List of Third Party 8th gen million sellers" thread for all the third-party companies, while leaving Sony's on its own?
