Depends. Are you running away out of cowardy or because it is a strategic maneuver? If it's the later, then it counts!

Wright, be kind and give this guy his due. Running away is moving away, dodging is dodging. If they were the same, dodging wouldn't have it's separate button in games. :P

Then you could argue the only thing he can't do is press Circle while standing idle. Everything else counts as rolling and strafing, not dodging. ;)

You know those actions are dependent of dodging function. Plus, I am sure they cut the explanation short for tight video title. :P

But the dodge button is the one that makes the difference. ;)

You're going in circles. Either the dodge button is the one that makes the difference, which means strafing, rolling and running is allowed, or dodging in general isn't allowed, which means staying away from the Circle button as far as possible.
