Forums - General - What's the most famous thing you've done?

I'm far from famous. And prefer it that way, really. About the only thing I've done that's gotten me much attention was retranslating Final Fantasy VI, and most of that attention was astoundingly negative. Though it did ultimately lead to a bit in FF6A where a mention is made to some people referring to Kefka as Cefca. I'm fairly certain that would not have happened if I hadn't retranslated FF6.

I'm also pretty much known as the world authority (in the English-speaking part of the world, anyway) on the PS1 Harvest Moon game, Back to Nature. And I made an RPG Maker 2003 game that somebody once tried to claim was his and who also tried to sell it for money; fortunately, I don't think he ever swindled anybody. Given the reported bandwidth draw that game (Legend of Shenja) has had on my server, I think it's safe to say it's at least something of an underground hit. Either that, or somebody really likes re-downloading it an awful lot...

ROTFL!!!!!

I have a public speaking voice, have a winning personality, but can't lie to save my buns. I wouldn't mind taking Air Force One down to Cancun, Sydney and Diego Garcia to chill and kick it with the interns ... LOL. My wife would blast me.

I would love to hear your story on why you wanted to go into politics. If you have a biography or info on your run online, please PM me.

Not that much of a story really. I've just always been interested and fairly passionate about the world around me. Also, the riding really needed somebody, so they called and asked if I'd run (most surprising phone call I ever recieved)

Unfortunately, there isn't much documentation about it on the web anymore. My site is down and the small town nature of the riding meant that most of the news paper articles never went online( even when the Orangeville Banner wrote a very positive editorial on how impressed they were with my campaign).

So far the only article about the whole campaign that I can find is this one

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Student Body President of my college.

Was an extra in a Chuck Norris Movie!!!!!! I saw him in person too! Real approachable and genuine fellow.

FYI The movie was Sidekicks.

Starred in a TV show while in High School and recently I've been heard in various different places for my voice work.

EDIT: I'm available for voice work if anyone needs something done.  I have a great radio voice and can change my voice in many different ways to provide the sound your looking for.

I like how everyone else's famous stuff is actually related to accomplishments. I guess I take what I can get. [edit:  Did I really say that the state spelling bee wasn't an accomplishment?  I was tired last night.  Consider my head slapped.]

The most famous accomplishment I have had ... I was the proofreader for a game news website called Moz La Punk in the period after it rose up from being a mere blog/forum and before it sank back down to being a blog/forum again.

My DAD, though. He does national boardgaming tournaments -- I do too, but I don't WIN.

Man, I was SO tempted to drag this thread off on a tangent. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=21263

I won the state's Knowledge Olympic when I was in elementary school. I got the 3rd best average of any kid on the state (and around 10-ish nationwide) and I met the president Ernesto Zedillo and I appeared on TV and on the papers.

I got 3rd place at a foriegn language fair for Spelling in Spanish (in high school).  The funny thing is I only spelled two words right.  There were about 30 students and the whole thing couldn't of taken more than 10 minutes.  The competition was dropping like flies! I ended up with 3rd place.

Newspaper and internet- I did an interview with a local paper for the Free State Project in Wyoming and it was picked up by the AP and printed by around 20+ news sources around the nation.

TV- I worked a table for the Free State Project in the Take Action! section of the Warped Tour on the 2006 Tour in Nashville, TN. I was shown at the table for about 5 seconds on Warped Wednesdays which was the most popular show on the American cable channel Fuse in 2006. The segment was rebroadcast several times and was a big hit because it was a segment where a Truth.com worker blew up and yelled at another Truth.com worker for being lazy. For those that don't know, Truth.com is the anti-smoking group that was created because the US Court system forced the tobacco companies to fund anti-smoking ads.
