6m confused parents? A game with incredible legs that suggest positive reception/word of mouth? Ok, if you say so.

Did i said confused? A game that is someway similar to mario, obviously would get some attention since there's no mario available on the platform to compete. By the way, you're underestimating the number of people that have no idea about how the gaming industry works

No, you did no say confused. That's why I asked. It was not just people who wanted Mario on their console. Maybe that would have been a fine excuse this generation that so few people are buying ninty consoles. In the ps3 era when everyone had a wii, why would anyone buy a ps3 and look for a mario like game and not just play Mario on their consoles?

Hahaha, really now? How do you define very colorful?

"Not very colorful"

Sorry for long post.

Thats the only colourful one. The others ones still predominate in greys and browns. Even this one sees a big ammount of brown but theres a bigger consistancy of greens. I do suppose that constant explosions don't help portray how beautiful a world is. I won't say it looks bad, but its definitly missing on artistic thread that makes you look at it and say: this is an adventure i want to go in. We shouldnt even be talking about Ratchet as he doesnt fit the description of these platformers. Ratch and clank is a third person shooter more than its a platformer. Guns and family don't really go well together.

I guess they need to look a bit more simplistic aswell. When you compare that to a Mario, Sonic, Yoshi, or Even Jak and Daxter 1, there is a visual distinction.

Also, tone down the sarcasm. I am having a good conversation here where i would like us to see where these games are lacking. Going just "oh theres no market LBP is fine" is not something that is acceptable when the Wii U has several million sellers on a platform with a much smaller userbase. I don't think this is because they are simply old characters. It's because no one bothered to create a compelling new worlds and characters (probably because nowadays everything is seen like it has to be super realistic and gritty or no one will care).

Sackboy has no personality. He is a canvas. I don't see how one can even throw him on the same "sack" as other better constructed characters. The whole LBP world does not excel in any department. Who is sackboy? Why does he go on these adventures? Why does he have friends? All these things happen because LBP is a game about creating not a game trying to express a unique world and characters going in a great adventure.

So, i do think its folly to be saying "oh its cause the others guys came before. Theres no way a new one works now!". I simply refuse to believe that. Its simple minded and defeatist.

So everyone that had a PS3 owned a Wii too? So everyone that loves play Mario wouldn't be looking for something similar anywhere else? Ok, if you say so
