I was really thinking about this... Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is the BEST GTA game of all time and STILL holds the record for the best selling GTA game on a SINGLE console. Not even GTA V for the PS3 could beat the record (eventually it might). Has anyone else wondered what happened BEFORE the events of San Andreas?? I know CJ's Mom passed away, and he had alot of homies on the streets and so on. Maybe Rockstar can tell us what happened before the events of San Andreas. We can get a prequel with today's Video Game graphics. Updated HD model of CJ, a Voice actor of Cj's Mom, and possibly an updated San Andreas city from the original game! We can find out WHY CJ left Los Santos in the first place. There's so many questions that COULD be answered in a Prequel to San Andreas. I would pay $119.99 to get this game! But idk, It would be awesome if they made this into an major expansion pack with GTA V. Do you think they should make a prequel to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas?

No, Rockstar never continues any story from any GTA title and that's because there's nothing to add. It's always a story in itself, with a beginning, a middle and an ending. Of course you could answer some questions with a prequel or sequel, but it would also raise new questions. It would never end. So you just have to live with some insecurities. It's like in real-life: You never get to know a person as good as themselves.

On top of that, Rockstar should continue to innovate and not waste time for a more-or-less remake. Why San Andreas again, we had that in GTA 5, it's getting boring. Do something new, how about Carcer City or Capital City? We've never been there in GTA, but the cities keep getting mentioned in the games. Or how about a return to Vice City? Or just something completely new. Hell, if you ask me, the best thing would be a GTA in europe. So let's do it Rockstar, let's return to London, or even try another country this time.

Long Story short: No, I don't want another San Andreas. But I enjoy the living crap out of the old one right now.

Not true.

Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories are both prequels to III and Vice City respectively.

Also one of the main characters from GTAIV appear in GTAV in a major storyline with another main character from GTAV.

 

Yeah, but LCS and VCS were not made by Rockstar North. And the people appearing in other titles are just cameos.
