My desktop is almost 7 years old now since I have switched to using a laptop for everything, not much I can re-use from that. A VR capable laptop is likely even more expensive. Psvr first for me. Especially with the weak Canadian dollar atm.
PC's currently cost 40% more here. A GTX 970 alone costs $540 here before tax. Gaming laptops with 980M are closer to $3000. Makes the OR seem cheap in comparison whatever they price it :/

Won't need an upgrade, my specs are way above those already. But, I'm not that interested in VR, at least not yet.
