Forums - Gaming - New Resident Evil 5 Info coming in the next Famitsu

According to PSU and various other sites, confirmed only by an RE fansite and Capcom's 25th Anniversary, there will be new info on Resident Evil 5 in the new Famitsu, subcribers on Wednesday and stands next Friday.

As well as that, there will be a free DVD with the issue showing off new footage of the game as well as a new trailer.

I wonder what the new info will be, will it announce a Wii version of the game (like many Wii owners are hoping) or will it just be another trailer - Hopefully showing some in-game footage :D

Only time will tell!

It will be announced for the wii, and ported to the PS360- superchunk

On topic: Great news, I hope we see some different levels of the game.

After the massive success some of the big PS3/360 games had these last holidays (see Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty 4, and soon GTAIV), Capcom will not port this game to the Wii.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. YES! I can't wait to see the new details/footage

"Back off, man. I'm a scientist."

Your theories are the worst kind of popular tripe, your methods are sloppy, and your conclusions are highly questionable! You are a poor scientist. Especially if you think the moon landing was faked.

I doubt it either akuma, i put that in there so i wouldn't get flamed by the Wii fans for not mentioning it... lol

Akuma-

Yes because if there was a Wii version it would make the game sell less total copies.. that makes sooooo much sense.

Wait... isn't COD5 going to be on the Wii? Woops there goes your sad theory about if it sells well on PS360 it won't be on Wii... COD4 was too far along by the time Activision realized what a monster the Wii was turning into. Oh, and PES- that sold pretty good on the 360 and PS3.. and looky here a PES:Wii. That is an amazing theory there buddy.

The only reason they would not port it to Wii is because they don't want to ruin the RE5 experiance on Wii(bad port or shoddy graphics).

Please tell me that if they had redone RE4 with better graphics(or whatever) it would have sold as well as it has on the Wii on the 360? or PS3?

RE has an audience on the Wii, it would not suprise me if they did something about it. Unless they hate money of course.

The PS3(and maybe 360, although they don't seem to be as bad) fanboys need to face the fact that "their" console of choice is not doing too hot, not terrible, just not great, and the Wii is doing awsome. Many of those franchises that you feel "belong" on your beloved console may just be multiplatform.... or you might not get them at all do to the extravagent dev cost.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

COD5 is also coming out on PS2, I don't think Activision forgot what a monster that was...

I don't really like Resident Evil games, but I would be fine with a port...

@aj-habfan

actually they might have... they might have bet that the PS2 would die much more quickly... not it seems to be living forever than want to cash in on it.

I don't really trust PSU because they like to put a fanboy spin on a lot of things.

I also don't know how this turned into another shitfest about why RE5 Wii would be a crime and will never happen or whatever. If a Wii version does happen it's not going to be announced on a DVD.

Tag - "No trolling on my watch!"

COD 5 is going to suck just like COD 3 did because the resources are going to be spread too thinly between 5 different versions not to mention the fact that it isn't being developed by Infinity Ward.

There is a reason why COD 4 was the best selling of the entire franchise and it might have had something to do with how high the QUALITY of the game was, something that would have suffered if they would have had to spend their time dealing with the Wii's hardware limitations and the burden of developing on a 4th platform.

I hate to break all you Wii people's bubble, but porting a PS3/360 game to the Wii is not always possible, and can often severely reduce the game's quality overall.
