ND have their hands full enough with TLOU2 after UC4.

So let it be a frozen IP in that case. There doesn't have to be a Tomb Raider game every other year.
Also I don't think it needs to be restored to its "former glory". From what I hear it's a good game. It was just the marketing deal that gave it a poor perception and sales.

It's not about exclusivity, though.It's just fixing brand perception. If Square sells Tomb Raider or Crystal to Sony since they get to do with games up their alleys.

Teaming up with Sony, while it would do better than with Xbox, would still not be a good thing. Especially after all the flack SE got for teaming up with MS. You don't want to touch that right now. Sony already have their own Uncharted, that doesn't need to compete with another similar game. I'd rather them invest in something totally different in that case. Kojima, for example, was a great move, and it made sense because he needs funds to start up his first project on an AAA scale. They got Street Fighter, and they seem to have some sort of time exclusive deal with FF7 Remake. Keep going with the diversity.
And acquiring Tomb Raider is a gamble right now before we know how the game will perform on Steam and PS3/PS4.

No one really cared for the xbox version because it wasn't where the fanbase was.

Why should it be bad? Tomb Raider is originally a Playstation game. People have connections with it. And ND seems to have the magic touch anyway and the acclaim. They can't seem to make a mistake. Plus a Nate/Lara crossover is more likely if Sony buys Tomb Raider at discount price thanks to its flopping and a higher chance of becoming a dead IP. 

Kojima imo is the bigger gamble considering he has no IP's attached to him. Plus we don't even know how long it will take him to finish the game thanks to his smaller team.

Really? Are you naive? It's a business idea that I find interesting that Sony could have if they want to continue Uncharted 4 with developers with fine track record or ND to untarnish Tomb Raider rep. Make it a classic once again. Like that. No hidden agenda. 

Nintendo fans be like buy Capcom, SE, Konami etc and no one's hurling crap on them. So no. It's just normal for companies to snatch or absorb companies.

The fact you get oversensitive with an idea that won't really hurt you cause if you buy a PS4 anyway, you could still play it. People will decide with money if it's worth it. No one cares about what you think or if you'll buy it.

Still doesn't stop people objevting to something being bought up, it's happened for centuries, dunno why it should stop now.

Don't know why you'd think I'm niave just because I don't see it being a good business idea like you, in fact others here are voicing the opposite opinion to yours for the most part, I don't suppose you'l be calling them niave now?. You don't need ND to "un-tarnish" an image of a game, it was already tarnished before the Xbox deal which is only a temporary one, if you think your vilified competition damaged the image greatly then I feel you are the niave one and one that doesn't pay attention to past history.

Same happens with Sony into "buy X company/Dev" and same with Xbox, everyone gets their fair share of hurling, you may not see it on this site but I have seen it around various sites on the ent like Destructoid, The Escapist, Youtube, IGN, Kotaku, Polygon, Rock Paper Shotgun etc. It'sd not really a normal thing, to you it feems normal because you only think good things happen from every merger and yet that isn't always the best case.

You seem to claim that I'm buttmad or over senstivie which leads me to thinking you really don't seem to care about anyone who favors a different opinion to yours, you've expressed this with "I don't care, what you say doesn't matter", due to that you seem to be going with the typical "stop being upset that I have a different opinion" and yet you're showing it yourself with how you respond back to me.

Nah. Bluepoint will be like a mercenary this gen. they'll go where they feel they can make a difference.

They own the Uncharted IP so buying CD or Tomb Raider would be pretty pointless.

They own it but besides ND, there's no developer in Sony that could really be worthy of continuing Uncharted right now.Sony Bend might but it's not gonna have a global impact as CD working on it or ND working on TR. Maybe Bend could do TR.  Besides, ND is looking to expand, they could need this as an exercise if Ellie becomes the main character in TLoU.

There is about to be four Uncharted games on the PS4 so not having one in a while is no big deal.
