I've always thought crafting and sneaking in Skyrim were both pretty overpowered

As it is in Fallout. But that is how I like to play the games: stealth. The way you can stack perks for stealth attacks make the game even easier.

I remember playing Resident Evil 4 and thinking how powerful the knife attack was. I had Soooooo much ammo on me at the end of that game it was crazy. The knife used to be the weapon you feared you had to use in resident evils before this one, it was the weapon you thought to yourself "well I'm fucking doomed now all I have is this"

You could knife one of the Las Plagas dudes on the legs and the meele attack option would appear to deal a finishing blow.

I remember the stupid knife in the first RE. I don't remember if you could throw it out of the inventory, but one can, I suppose that useless thing was among the first ones to go.

A friend of mine though told me he killed the Nemesis in Hard Mode only with a knife... o.O

I remember Resident Evil 5, when you had Infinite Ammo turned on, along with the Lightning Hawk and the M500. That's the only thing I can remember being OP.

The convinient Machine Gun with %100 ammo at the first Inventory Box as well.

Team/Partner Up in Fire Emblem Awakening - I try to avoid using it whenever possible, but sometimes it's necessary to keep a unit safe or transport them quickly. I prefer the Rescue mechanic of the previous games, which penalizes you for hiding units, rather than letting you create super-units that wreck everyone.

Multi-Strike+Pierce in SMT Devil Survivor - If your unit has high agility, you can basically kill most opponents in one turn with this combo. You can also add a skill to turn your enemy to Stone, which increases how overpowered this is even further. I feel like most SMT games I've tried have had a overpowered build towards the end of the game, but this is the one that comes to mind first.

Actually, part of why I said "long story short" was because Georg got hit by a fire attack from the boss immediately as the fight started and he was taken down to 10% health left, and would have died from any of the subsequent attacks had he not parried them all. I thought for sure he would die. So it is as you say.
But I can't remember how the boss then died before I got a chance to act if he had already attacked me with a fire spell, so I left that part out of the story. It's been about 10 years since I played it.

I saved an extra file on that boss battle to try to recreate the events one day and record it, but I only tried once or twice.

P.S. He was part of one of my two (or three?) final dungeon teams, but I don't remember if I was smart enough to leave him out of the final boss fight team. lol

You can't have him in the final boss fight team on your first playthrough, but I've read that you can in a new game+.

Atma weapon, genji glove and the offering from FF3

FF3, as in FFVI? That was only outdone by Tempest Swords, X-Cut, and Dual Wield in FFV.

The exp. share in Pokemon X/Y. If you have that item activated, you'll alwways be a couple of levels higher than other trainser. Training has been almost erradicated.

Good, I hate level grinding.

Me too. But now the story mode is easier than ever before, in a franchise that was easy to begin with.

I think RPGs are almost always too easy by default. Another user made the good comment that they may start overwhelming at first but then fall into a vicious cycle of gaining xp too easily and defeating bosses just make you stronger without actually becoming better at the game. Personally, if I'm playing a single player game, I'd rather have a sense of overpoweredness rather than constantly struggling. That's just me though.

In the case of Pokemon, I'd play competitively online if I want a real challenge. But I can see and totally respect your point that the single player suffers because of how easy it has become.

It is impossible to make a game that makes every gamer happy. :D
