Overpowered abilities, attacks, moves, perks, etc. that have made a game too easy

Actually, part of why I said "long story short" was because Georg got hit by a fire attack from the boss immediately as the fight started and he was taken down to 10% health left, and would have died from any of the subsequent attacks had he not parried them all. I thought for sure he would die. So it is as you say.
But I can't remember how the boss then died before I got a chance to act if he had already attacked me with a fire spell, so I left that part out of the story. It's been about 10 years since I played it.

I saved an extra file on that boss battle to try to recreate the events one day and record it, but I only tried once or twice.

P.S. He was part of one of my two (or three?) final dungeon teams, but I don't remember if I was smart enough to leave him out of the final boss fight team. lol

You can't have him in the final boss fight team on your first playthrough, but I've read that you can in a new game+.
