Except the standards haven't stepped backwards in this case, you are stating to me that they have for this game, you think it;s acceptable to you and think it's objectively acceptable to all PC gamers, you imply that the stndards have gone backwards because if you didn't then it wouldn't fit with your line of logic.

backwards compat is a thing on PC and has been for years, you're talking about consoles and are bringing them into this with their standards, stop trying to mix the two as if they are one set of stands, we're talking about standards strictly on PC gaming here.

You had ill intent when you jumped in to talk about Jim sterling being objectively wrong instead of going with "Oh I thought it was an amazing game on PC" and elft it at that, instead we're here debating about standards and implying I;m an idiot to which you respond with "whoa buddy you derailing the thread" which tells me that you are setting up to report me because like it or not that's where you wanted it to ehad after I told you to finish calling me what you heavily implied and you know where that would land yourself so you decided to twist things around, that's actual ill intent right there, you wanted to imply I was an idiot for agreeing with Jim that "the game is shit because of a port that devs don't go to the lengths for it's optimizations is just utter stupidity".

See you know what transpired with the game towards it;s PC devlopement, you know exactly what lengths were gone to make the port and you know the end results, you have seen the wrath and the otucry that this game recieved and reviewers and sites documented a lot of that occurance, you think it's a great game but that does not stop it from being a shit one on PC and that was the end result and no such decent legnths were made to ensure it was going to be a good port, even after it was pulled from the shelves, what Jim said was actually right and a fact that is shared by a lot of PC gamers.

The reason we are even at this point is because you are chomping at the bit about one mans view on a very negative situation that transpired and decided to warp what's a standard and what isn't to suit your view on Jim's, at the end of the day it was a bad port on PC which effectively made it a shit game for PC players, that is where the end of the line is.

He pointed out that powerful HW doesn't solve the problem, in fact it doesn't always solve such problems at all, I've seen a few gamers on YT who do benchmarks with different sorts of high end that still don't get the stable frames on AK.

See Shadow of Mordor works fine on my 980 and other folks hardware that stems from 780-980 ti's, AK just runs like trash on most builds and still does.

So far this year on my 980 the games I've played ran fine with me in terms of AAA:

Witcher 3

Dying Light

Shadow of Mordor

Star Wars Battlefront

The difference here is that those games listed above were all well recieved good ports and none of them pulled a WB on their games, not even for SoM.

You moved the posts from the start, especially when we've been talking about AK on a fucking PC, you moved the set standards, tried to call them backwards and that they factcually change to suit your pov, that's you moving the posts in real time to something that hasn't changed a lot for decades, someone else even pointed that out to you and all you came with is "duh get more powerful HW", you don't understand how little sense that makes makes.

You are wasting time by carrying on within a thread you clearly didn't want to be in due to one man's review that you clearly don't like. This is what happened with Valve as well and met with the same type of result.
