It could be the case. I first thought that the robber went back inside running away from the guy getting a good hold of the gun but maybe he just went back to grab the bag. And that's why he then fearlessly went out to escape. Unless the robber thought the store guy was a pussy that wouldn't shoot.

I would carry some type of weapon if I worked at those kinds of stores. Can't let him get away with stealing.
