When is the last time you've seen Capcom put up commercials for any of their Wii games? Don't you notice how they let the Wii community dance like clowns to try and advertise their games for them on the internet instead of putting any real money into advertising.
Oh boy, great games comming to the Wii?
- Zack & Wiki: There's a stellar success.
- RE4 Wii: A Port, there's a confident investment
- RE UC: Be nice if they at least tried to hide the seems that were holding that made-in-a-week game together.
- Okami: Another Port, way to go, so the Wii is where Capcom's last gen games go to get a second chance. Capcom isn't even doing it themselves, they're passing it off to someone else. There's an investment!
- Monster Hunter 3 Tri: I would care if I was Japanese.
- Oh and Okami 2 in the future? Great, I'm sure it will be great considering Clover has been disolved.
- And rumors of a RE0 remake? Wow, another port. How could anyone say Capcom isn't giving the Wii serious support.
I can't get enough of how people naysay the RE5 Wii petition with, "oh we'd rather have new or fresh game for the Wii, not ports" then they turn around and tell me we're suppossed to be excited about this handful of rehashes?
And don't ya' just love how all these lucritive grave-robbing projects for the Wii are being used to pay for the development of real, NEW, games like Devil May Cry 4 and Resident Evil 5 which unlike any of the Wii games get actual advertising on television and in magazines that aren't Nintendo Power.
But what do I know, I'm just a pessimist, unable to appreciate the scraps I'm being fed and should just blindly tell myself everything is just fine and will be fine. Show me a massive project like DMC4 or RE5 comming to the Wii then I'll change my tune, until then I see nothing but pocket change projects half of which are games which have already made their money back.
I'm not trying to derail the thread or kill anyone's love for Okami, I want this game bad! I'm just defending my stand on the matter of Capcom's questionable support of the Wii. I know I'm skeptical and even down right pessimistic, but I feel I have damn good ground to be such on. Tell me this, how many more tests must the Wii pass before they give us real games? And I say real games, because what else would the Wii need to pass a test for? What is our prize if the Wii passes these tests Capcom is laying out if these are already your definition of cream of the crop games?
