Not surprising since Mario is the icon of modern day gaming.

Though I don't approve of mario being whore'd out by Nintendo, most of the mario-cameo games are good (few exceptions of course) but there are enough gems for me to not care (Mario Tennis and Super smash bros).

The only surprise is that Mario Strikers only made 1.68 million, it was the first online Wii title, and I would have thought many people would have bought it for that, considering it was a desert of online play after that (pokemon battle revolution was a joke). I know I bought it for that reason.

Mario's current gen sales reached 75 million this week.

In my original post, it was around 56 million in March.

Mario Changes and Evolves that's why is still selling, maybe it's milking but as long as the quality is there, i'm happy. Everyone is milking their bigger franchises.

Kart
Sports
Party
RPG

Of those, only the Sports and Party are milked and of lower quality.
