I wonder if/how VR headsets will diversify the consume for X1 and PS4, also Wii U did an amazing job considering the jump from Wii to Wii U...

Huh?

You don't have to pay any subscription to Sony or Microsoft to play any game on the system that I'm aware of? Unless you are on about multiplayer, which is optional?

Nintendo may well be free subscription wise which is a plus point, but its done zero for sales has it which shows that the vast majority either buy the Xbox or PS4 and either pay for live/PSN or don't.  Either way, they aren't buying Wii U's.

The Wii U does use a lot less power, so it's nice but at the same time makes it less powerful than the PS4 and XOne

People have graphics cards that eat 250-300watts alone, and some people have like 2-4 of them (SLI or Crossfire).

Same with the CPUs, once overclocked its not uncommon to have 200+ watt cpus in pcs.

 

Compaired to like the 100-110watts a PS4 uses.

LOL no.  The ps3 and 360 started as 90nm designs, and so they will inherintly be unoptimized for the lower nodes.  Also the Wii U is 40nm, and the PS4/X1 is 28nm.





Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

When people compare cost of PC vs console why do they always ignore this very significant cost?  Like they focus on things like paid online but ignore big costs like this (for pc at least).
