You answer to your "consistency" comment yourself ^^.

If third party games are PS4/PC and Sony games are PS4, then it makes the Xbox one irrelevant and help the PS4.

If MS games are Xbox One and PC, then it also makes the Xbox One irrelevant. And it also matches with the "Let the Xbox die and come back to PC" usual strategy ideas, which is not really possible or relevant for Sony. I still think personally that they will make a big Xbox app and port their games on it to push W10 gaming and focus more and more on that (give us AoE 4, MS!) .

MS chooses to not favor the Xbox One, when Sony and the third party publishers choose to deprive the Xbox One of some games. It's all good for PC gamers, pretty good for PS4 gamers (more and more games are inclined to take the PS4/PC way instead of just PC), but nothing good for Xbox One gamers seems to come out of these deals.

There is consistency here, but the issues and strategies of each company are different.

That is not consistent. Including strategies from the companies sounds like twisting and turning, and overcomplicating things trying to find a way to justify PS4 ''losing'' exclusives as a good thing for PS4. At the end of the day, it's not a full exclusive to PS4/Xbox/Wii U if it is on PC, its only a console exclusive, period.  To most with a good PC, whether the game is from a third party or first-party, it doesnt matter.

When I was deciding which console to buy, the fact that some of the PS4 games I wanted to play were also on PC (SOMA, Firewatch) were points against the PS4, not for it. I prefer playing on console, but if the games do not come to Xbox, at the very least Ill play them on my PC.

Thinking about strategies from the companies sounds like twisting and turning ? Really ? It's just obvious to put things in perspectives and to think "Why did they do that? What is their objective?". In one case, it's "They convinced a third party publisher to keep his game away from the direct competition, while keeping their own exclusives", in the other case it's "They put their own exclusives to another platform". Not the same thing here, but yeah, it's only if you're interested in what will happen in the future .

The fact that most Vita exclusive games are coming to PS4 is a great sign of the awesome ambitions Sony has for the Vita 2...

Technically, this move can hint that things will go the other way around as well...

I hope it won't be via Windows Store :|

Ori was on Steam though, so fingers crossed.

I'm hoping this myself but afaik they said Gears 1 would be Windows 10 along with Fable Legends and KI, most likely the same for all the other titles, all these huge delays sound like MS set it up so once Windows 10 was releasing publicly and after the following months they think the majority will have moved onto the one OS, trouble is we all haven't and currently I see no reason to move to 10 and the reasons fans provide me just don't cut it. Locking their ports to a single OS sounds like a really bad idea tbh, especially when you've got millions of users on both 7-8-8.1 that still haven't moved to 10 and then of course there was the situation a few months back where MS claimed they weren't "competing" with Steam and yet we've got the windows 10 store which will likely be the primary and only source to get those ports which also fills me with a bit of ire because they told us they weren't competing (and yet setting up shop to not support other vendors proves you are in it to win it) and we haven't heard a peep that all these future ports will even touch Steam. I believe they should release onto Steam due to the install base there along with the lieks of Origin and Uplay, the one edge they can offer from their store is their cheevo/friend system, possible even offer a discount that entices people but for the love of god don't lock your very late (don't even know the port quality of any titles) ports to a single OS and store.

From my pov I'm happy with what Blizzard have done with their client along with Valve but EA does have good customer service and a sleek/tidy client but they still have a long ways to go for offering more games on theirs and Uplay has  awhole ball game to catch up on, GoG's client though is completely optional and GoG is DRM free from the get-go anyway. MS on the other hand I dunno if I want another client that only releases a very small number of titles, titles that are likely to be delayed and sold at higher prices (seriously I'm not really up for supporting those that don't support the "time is money" phrase).

Yup. I,m not too surprised, there seems to be a lot of bias against the One on many forums I visit.

Whenever these is news (or even rumors) that an Xbox game is coming to PC, it usually makes it to the frontpage.

Just last week, Kojima's new game was announced as coming to PC, and yesterday PS4 ''lost'' Tales of Berseria and God Eater, and not a single thread like this one on the frontpage (I have not seen any). But ancient news about two confirmed Xbox games coming to PC makes it to the frontpage.

Just wait till someone here posts Candyland's X1 vs PC ARK comparison video and the pointless drivel will ensue.

What do you mean by "the other way around" ?

PC to XONE streaming and, perhaps, XONE-Windows 10 cross compatibility...

Satya Nadella himself warded those rumors off, then Spencer said they are thinking on another Xbox, but have no idea where to start (duh, it's still early!)...

While also moving the Xbox brand onto other platforms:

I don't think the XOne-W10 cross compatibility is possible, we already know developers can struggle to port their games from PC to Xbox One, I don't know how they could do that.... (the bottleneck is the GPU? Not sure, I don't remember) The most they can do is to make the ports easier.

Isn't the PC/XOne streaming possible already ? I thought so...

I don't think they're moving away from the Xbox brand. I think they are moving the Xbox brand itself, and the fact that newly announced games like Halo Wars 2 are announced from the start as XOne/PC shows IMO that they could slowly give up the hardware part and focus on a gaming service for W10.

They lost the console war anyway, their marketshare and software sales are not that good (and I'm being polite), and they can more easily make money on PC gaming by publishing their games on Windows 10...
