I am under the impression that sports games tend to be ditched by the gaming community. Maybe it is because of the yearly iterations of some sport franchises that seem to pop out with relative little time in between releases.

So I would like to see if this notion of mine is quite wrong by finding out if there are some popular sports game in here.

Skating. Not Tony Hawk though, that series sucks pretty damn hard since about 10 years. But Skate 2 was a blast! It's a shame they are not making any sequels anymore...
