Definitely a day 1 one buy for me. Awsome little perk there for joining a clan. I use to be in a clan for Socom 2, but I really dont want to join another (I really dont like having a scheduled practice, I like to play only when I feel like it). So to become the Seals I'll just make my own clan (VGC) no practice necessary. :) EDIT: Actually f**k the Seals I think SAS or German Kommandos are more badass.
LEAGUEWhen will we see SOCOM released on PS3 late 2008? or To Be Announced?

June or July I believe, all I know is that its definitely this Summer.
LEAGUEIt will be out this summer, still rumored to be sometime in the middle of June.
I will absolutely be buying this game on day 1. To me, Socom set the standard for shooters and online shooters last gen and this is their first game in this generation and I hope to see game play and hit detection and just plain addictiveness for this game to be that of Socom 1 and 2. (best of both). It's definitely looking very polished and like it's close to coming out from the newest screen shots. It's still a third person shooter, which I prefer, but they also ahve the OTS (over the shoulder) view as well.
My pokemon brings all the nerds to the yard. And they're like, "You wanna trade cards?" Damn right, I wanna trade cards. I'll trade this, but not my charizard.
I have never been a Socom fan, and I don't plan on becoming one, but this game looks like it has some promise. I like the advanced nationality system which can give you special gear and shit.
We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke
It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...." Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson
Never played SOCOM online, only single player. I'll get it if I hear good things about it.
I love SOCOM but I'm not buying this. Online only games suck for me. Thats prob what kept me from buying Warhawk, and what will keep me from buying Confrontation. I'll buy the next SOCOM with full single player as well as online.
The best part of the socom series has been the online mode. Thousands of hours I spent online with Socom. And maybe only 5-6 total offline throughout the whole series

Agreed, most people I played with online only went through the single player to unlock things.
