Oh, so it's a timed exlusive?

Knowing how perfectionistic Square is with their crowned franchises (FF15/KH3), this game is at least a 2018 game. And a lot can change from now until then.

However, the stronger ps4 is, the better chance this game remains its exclusivity.

Ehm, yes? The entire premise of this thread is based on the fact that the game is a timed exclusive. Is it so difficult to understand?

Its not episodic, its something like .Hack and Xenosaga were, it has more than be confirmed already, stop calling it episodic or ppl will keep thinking tis like a Telltale game...

I know that each part will be a full game, but the word "episode" is correct since we are talking about the same story. Besides, repeating the word "part" is redundant :P 

I know its correct in concept but ppl associate that word with the Telltale model of short 1-2 hours linear bits of game.

It's the other way around...

I'd probably go with 2 as it would benefit Square on making the most money from this deal.

I expect some kind of timed deal, it may even come to Xbox eventually... Despite how the game will easily perform the best in terms of sales on PlayStation, FFVII is also an attempt to revitalize interest in JRPG's as the genre is not what it used to be in Square's eyes and FFVII would be one of the most iconic titles to try and do it... I fully expect anything that can play the game will get the game at some point.

This timed exclusive thing will be bad for FVII:R. Expect a decline in the fanbase.
