Never understood the hate he got (although I think it never got too toxic). Maybe they complained about FF going to Xbox, which is absurd as he doesn't have the power to keep that from happening.

Maybe it was because he took a lot of time to release some of those FF games everyone was waiting for, which now seems understandable when he appears to have been in charge of several big projects: FFXV, FF7R and KH3. o.O Give the man a break people.

Did Nobuo Uematsu leave the FF music scene after they merged with Enix?

I he did work for FFX and I think the main theme for FFXIV. He has been a little on the outside though, at least that's how it feels.
