But I read on VGC that you would need a super computer and 6 years to be able to emulate the Wii U decently...

Your will.. this is only early beta.. for people with high specs pc's..

And even when emulators can run most WiiU games (almost) as good WiiU itself.. there still is no gamepad

Nintendo do sell them (in japan) and emulators will eventuly support them.. but still.. much more easy and "full experinces" to just buy a WiiU

This is early beta in WiiU emulation.. What would be insane..  If/When Hackers jailbraik the WiiU like the did Wii.. Then there are some to right about.

Holy crap!!!

How long has this emu been out, like 2 months? This is amazing progress, almost all the textures are being displayed properly, and its already running at almost half speed without any optimization. The lighting still needs a lot of work though, and so do some textures, but after they get that out of the way, they will just have to optimize the code... Seriously just amazing work.

still looks so dark and unfinished. not bad for its short life though. how will the gamepad work though?

Why does it seem unlikely that they will get the game pad working? People with Wii U's can already connect their game pads to PC for basic controls.  it would then just be a matter of streaming the data over wifi, like the Wii u does.

Will it work with Nintendo's online service? Will it have online multiplayer?

"and emulators will eventuly support them" We agree.. :)

But you do also agree that we are in the (very) early stages of WiiU emulation.. ?

Haha, yes, but I guess you can't blame these people. Looking at Dolphin, it was sort of reasonable to say so but this emulator is just killing it with this progress.

Most probably not.

It is extremely strange how this WII U emulator has very lean and mean requirements when it comes to GPU feature sets compared to the likes of 7th gen console emulators like RPCS3 having a D3D12 backend or Xenia requiring OpenGL 4.5 with bindless support ...

Isn't Dolphins problem the GPU?
Great progress for CEMU though.

Wow im speechless
