Maybe cos the same users who all the time use this against PC didnt add no negitive to it. Yes i know the was users in here who seen it as a negitive but not the ones im on about but i wont mention no names and just leave it at this.

Like i said i have no problems with it but it would be nice if others thought the same way when its not their system.

I see... so it was some people that you know go to PC and complain of piracy and forgot to complain here... fair enough, altough on your initial post you didn't delimitate it. Anyway I think it may impact SW sales a lot in some countries (like Brazil) but improve HW as well. Sony probably think the balance is negative since they earn money on SW and they have making the consoles harder to pirate.

Yeah id imagine in some places like you say software will take a fall, but in Sonys main markets i dont think it will have much impact on their software sales with more and more games needing day 1 patchs and online etc i think it might be too much hasle for many.

And flash sales, plus online gaming.

^ this.

Day1 patches + online needed => piracy isnt worth it.

I think it ll be a much smaller issue than many here would like to make it out to be.

I buy my games so I couldn't care less. For those who think this is bad for Sony, the PS1 and PS2 were both mod chipped to hell and back and it didn't hurt their business in any sizable way. This stuff is niche and really not worrying about.

My thoughts exactly...

If hoax, this is genius

1) Release information about 1.76fw consoles being able to run Homebrew.
2) Sell the old bundles like hotcakes
3) Force retailers to buy the new models
4) Never release the cfw

By the way, the PS Vita could actually be saved if Sony releases the keys for "some hacker" to create a cfw. Just saying.
