No, leave that for Bioware or someone like that.

We've never got a living, breathing starwars world before. I think a western studio would be better suited to taking what KOTOR started and pushing it to the next level. If Monolith tackled it I think we would just be getting a bigger, KOTOR with not so interesting mission/NPCS and lifeless cities.

well. I disagree. Because Monolith soft stepped up their game with the missions/sidequests in Xenoblade Chronicles X. Some are still preatty generic. but affinty missions and some other normal missions are preatty good. Also a bigger budget given from both disney and Nintendo to make it happen. Many people praise XCX for its living breathing world. And if the rumors are true and the NX is very powerful. I think they could make it really really good. Just let them have a bigger dev team. Or maybe they could Co develop it with a western studio. More therefor better. A japanese dev and a western dev could maker wonders. but idk how it work well how they interact, they live very far away eachother

EA has locked the Star Wars property to them basically. No ones gonna go near that for a while.

thats not my question though if its possible. Im just asking if it was possible. Should they do one?

It's not possible, and even hypothetical situations/scenarios etc are pointless. Sorry, pointless question.

Sorry. EA and Amy hening is already developing star wars open world game. It will rival uncharted.

Seriously. Not to be rude but what dont people understand with my thread. Im saying if monolith soft studio should do an Open world star wars game nothing more. I know there has been talk about a other open world star wars game from another dev. that is  not relevant

It is definetly not impossible. Its probably not gonna happen in the next 10 years i think. but there are way more ''impossible scenario threads out there'' do you say its pointless to make threads about them too? I made this thread to start a new topic, maybe it could get attention and then maybe like even Disney or EA sees it and want to Co-develop with monolith soft. Nothing is impossible. We just got Minecraft for Wii U, and maybe, just maybe we even get Rare replay. In video game industry nothing is too impossible

You should change the Title and OP as neither reflect this. "Would you like to see monolith make an open world starwars" could work better, just a suggestion. Otherwise 90% of the posts will simply be saying its not possible.

How is it confusing ''should monolith soft make an Open world star wars game''  but i do understand your statement. but now i wrote it in like my second comment and cleared it up, for people who didnt understand.  Also saying its not possible is stretching it out. It is not impossible.

Seriously.

1. Nintendo cant make any star wars game regardless of what their studio (monolith soft) can do or cant do.

2. In 2008 three publishers were making five naruto games. Later all dropped except Cyberconnect 2. Financing AAA star wars open world game while knowing other developer is also doing the same? Not viable situation.

Obsidian should be allowed to finish Kotor. Bow that ea/bioware has the licence I'm amazed we haven't heard about a Kotor collection or a new one. Seems like easy money for ea considering the legacy it has.
Monolith should make a new IP now. Or a baten Kalos collection

"Should"  when talked about in present tense implies that  the outcome you're talking about is actually possible. If someone wrote a post, "Should Nintendo buy Apple" the person is implying that Nintendo have the  resources to buy Apple (which they of course do not). If what you're talking about is imaginary then its worth stating that the question is "hypothetical" or asking "would you like to see" which removes it from what is necessarily possible and simply what would would be like to imagine.

You are still not seeing my point here. Im asking if monolith soft should make an open world star wars game. Not that its gonna happen. Its a hypotethical question. Its not impossible. Disney has licensed out all star wars games to EA yes. but what would happen if EA would give permission to monolith soft to make a open world star wars game. Because they were impressed by the exotic alienated world of Mira from xenoblade chronicles x. Ofc there are alot more stuff under the scenes that have to be done. So its definetly not impossible. Also until we got confirmation that an open world star wars game is actually being made. It is possible. Or maybe just maybe. The ones that developing now could hand it over to Monolith soft and continue to work on it. See here. im not saying its happening. Im just saying if you people would think they should do one.

Well the word should could be seen different here. because its definetly not impossible. Example. Should microsoft buy the world. That is ridiclous and impossible. Should monolith soft make an open world star wars game? thats definetly not impossible. Also i did say you are correct with ''would you like to see maybe would be suited better'' but ''should'' is not wrong in my title. The thing is with the title is that the ''should'' means  ''hey, whats your opinion. Should they do it?'' in your opinion. Thats how the word can be used.
