Good lord! I did MCC and Forza Horizon 2 before i went to bed and they were ready the next morning!

Yeah I did that with MCC and it was done really fast, same with halo 5 (I feel like I'm the only one that had a really fast download for that :P)

Except it's not.

PS4 installs just as slow as X1, it's just that the PS4 has a better file system, where certain files that are necessary for booting the game are prioritised during installs and/or the console is being able read the files from disc to boot the game.

 

Mate maybe you should actually try a ps4 and see for your self instead of talking out of your arse.

Just because the Box is new doesn't mean the software is up to date. Btw are you installing the games like Witcher 3 from the disc or from the xbox live marketplace?

Doesn't sound normal to me, It took awhile to download Horizon 2 but I was downloading that at peak hour when the game launched. Apart from that I think it might be an issue with your Xbox or your Net provider.

That is a really long time. as others have said download speeds are dependent on internet connection. I use a powerline adapter for my HTPC, PS4, PS3 and XB1. .

I also have a 150mbps internet connection. Withcher 3 took me a little over 2 hours.

The PS4 does have faster load times, than the one, and it also allows you to download numerous files at once. But I'd advise against that.

Both systems however don't need to load the full game before you can start playing it, I believe it's ready to play when it hits the 20% mark.

If you can, change your settings to download the game to an external hard drive USB 3.0 is faster than the SATA 2, which is what the PS4, and XB1 connect their HDD with.

This is the one I use, as you can see it can handle numerous devices in one area. This  is how I have my HTPC, PS4, XB1 , and PS3 connected. The WiiU can only connect by Wifi, otherwise I would use it for that.

Yeah, got them on the black Friday digital sale. I even played other games while the download happened. I'm tempted to delete them just so I can time it!

I didn't know about it at the time and I'll be buying one soon because I have devices all over my home and the router is only on one side but : power line router.

For about $30, your whole home is a big basically a giant broadband cable. Look it up!
