I think I'd have to shave my beard to a soul patch, put on a bandanna and crank the Slayer before I could play Gears of War 2... it's just that extreme. Don't forget, for extra extreme, Fenix will have a train strapped to his gun this time around. That's right, they one-upped the chainsaw!

...anyways, I'm looking forward to both games but Metal Gear is definitely the more profound experience for me.

invisible suite ??? Fenix doesn´t need a suit to become invisible, he decides when you get to see him and by the its to late... oh and Fenix doesn´t need some little robo-racer toys to kill... hes a real soldier... he doesn´t mind doing the dirty work...

And yes Chuck Norris would beat Fenix... thats why Fenix is smart enough to live on a different planet... besides no planet could take the awesome of Norris and Fenix at the same time... it would explode...

Snake however lives on earth... and the reason he is always creeping around like a chickensh**t and uses an invisible suit is because he knows around every corner there could be Chuck Norris...

Oh and in terms of actual game quality, as much as I love epic, they never stood a chance :/ With Kojima as the head of the operation, this game will encourage people to find flaws.

Gears of war is great for it's shooting and action aspects,
terrible in storytelling,
great in graphics,
meh in audio, (guns, voice actors)
meh in length (judging by the first)
But it is the action that keeps making you play it.

Whereas Metal Gear series
Known for it's storytelling,
Great in Graphics,
Amazing audio (voice actors, guns, metal gear rex... mmmmm)
Insanely long (due to the story :P )

So just by my personal taste on the aspect, I can't give many Kudo's to the next Gears :/

The "fight" will be Gears against RESISTANCE II. MGS4 is in its own league and will be SUPERBLY AMAZING!!...IT WILL OWN EVERYTHING ON THE 360

I respect your arguments and yes Metal gear is great but I don´t agree with your negative points for Gears...

1. terrible storytelling ??? It didn´t need a great story... thats like saying Mario has terrible storytelling... we don´t want a story we want action...

2. audio was great in Gears... gave me the creeps...

3. length... ok it may not have epic lenght but as a action game it doesn´t need to... (it wasn´t heavenly short eather) but the co-op and internet play ad infinite replayability

Who gives a fuck if they are two "completely" different games? Can't you just pick the one you think will be better? Let's say they both launch in June '08. You buy both because you are unbiased having all three consoles. What would you do? Play the game you think is better first or turn on your ps3 and 360 to play both Metal Gear and Gears of War at the same time?

gears and mgs are wayyyyy different..

also gears online is terrible performance wise.

if the host has a shit connection the whole games fucked up. host gears stronger shotgun lancer etc also.
